Parent-Led ABA

What is Parent-Led ABA?

Parent-Led ABA puts parents at the forefront of the client’s treatment. Under the guidance, supervision and training of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®), trained clinicians work collaboratively with a client’s caregiver to equip them with the skills, procedures and education they need to effectively implement the client’s ASD treatment plans into your everyday family life under the guidance, supervision and training of a BCBA.

Our caring team is made up of practitioners with diverse disciplines and expertise who meet the client where they are and design a custom plan to get them on the right path. Grounded in evidence-based practices, our innovative ASD treatment planning puts the client’s goals front and center to the process, helping ensure key milestones are met, and continued progress is meaningful and sustainable. Caregivers are provided regular progress reports and have open lines of communication about treatment progress so together we can help the client live their best life.

What is the Goal of Parent-Led ABA?

The goal of Parent-Led ABA is to give parents the tools to support and teach the client using basic ABA skills. By eliminating the need for scheduled sessions with an outside practitioner, families have greater flexibility – simplifying the way you experience care. Parent-Led ABA allows caregivers to work 1:1 with the client during scheduled time, as well as throughout the day across everyday routines and activities.

Easterseals Hawaii respects your role as a caregiver and partners with you to ensure the client’sabilities and choices are honored throughout our entire program.
